Alexis Gines is a visual artist, educator, and New York City native. She studied art at Laguardia Community College and received her BA from State University of New York at Albany.

In 2013 she began writing graffiti on the streets and infrastructure of New York City and documenting it as part of a long-term project titled “SGT”. She has taken part in group shows curated by Claw Money, Ricky Powell, FKA Mag, Young New Yorkers charity, and more. In 2017 she began to travel internationally to write and document graffiti on trains and make street photography, traveling throughout Latin America, Europe, and Australia.

She began work as a Scenic Artist for major network television shows in 2021. She has led workshops teaching graffiti to youths, and is a teaching assistant at ICP at The Point. She graduated from the Documentary and Visual Storytelling program at The International Center of Photography in 2025.
